Welcome to Outline Origins (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, products, services, and any digital or physical content provided through Outline Origins (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Overview

Outline Origins allows users to upload photos or artwork to generate custom illustrations and colouring pages, purchase printed products, and access related tools or features.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

2. Use of AI Technology

We use artificial intelligence (“AI”) models and automated systems to create or enhance certain outputs (e.g., converting user-uploaded images into custom line-art illustrations).
This is described in our Privacy Policy, but for clarity:

  • AI is used only to process images you intentionally upload,

  • AI-generated outputs may vary and are not guaranteed to be perfect,

  • You retain ownership of your uploaded content (see Section 6).

These Terms do not transfer any AI model rights to you.

3. Account Responsibilities (if applicable)

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your login details,

  • ensuring the information you provide is accurate,

  • all activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload, share, or generate content that:

  • infringes on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights,

  • contains harmful, illegal, or abusive material,

  • includes nudity, sexual content, violence, or other content inappropriate for children
    (as Outline Origins is a family-friendly service),

  • interferes with or disrupts the Service.

We may remove content or refuse service at our discretion.

5. Purchases & Payments

All purchases made through Outline Origins are subject to our pricing and checkout terms at the time of the transaction.

5.1. Non-Refundable Nature of Custom Goods

Because our products are custom-made (e.g., personalised illustrations or printed books), they are generally non-refundable, except in cases of:

  • manufacturing defects,

  • printing errors,

  • delivery issues.

6. Intellectual Property & Ownership

6.1. Your Uploaded Content

You retain ownership of the photos or artwork you upload.
By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to:

  • process it using our tools and AI systems,

  • generate outputs,

  • print, display, or distribute it only as needed to fulfil your order or provide the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your original images.

6.2. Our Content

All branding, website content, templates, generated line-art styles, and proprietary systems belong exclusively to Outline Origins. You may not copy, reuse, resell, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

7. AI-Generated Outputs

You understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated illustrations may vary in style, detail, and accuracy,

  • Results depend on the quality of the input image,

  • Outputs should be reviewed by you before purchase.

We make reasonable efforts to produce high-quality results but do not guarantee pixel-perfect interpretations.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.
Our Privacy Policy explains:

  • what data we collect,

  • how AI processes your uploads,

  • how long data is stored,

  • your rights regarding personal information.

You agree to review the Privacy Policy before using the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,

  • we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service,

  • our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific affected order.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply to the fullest extent allowed by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • you violate these Terms,

  • we suspect fraudulent or abusive behavior,

  • we discontinue or modify the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, the “Last Updated” date will change. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
